Add all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead for 8-10 minutes.
(Place the batter in a steam bath for 30 minutes (35 °, 65%RH) if you have ), otherwise you cover the bowl with a plastice wrap ,then with a towel and place it at a warm place , let it for 20-30 minutes to rise .
In a dip frying pan heat the oil at a medium to high temp(180-190 °).
Have beside you a glass of water with a teaspoon in it and a plate lined with kitchen paper to absorb the extra oil from the fried dumplings.
When the oil is hot enough, place your hand in the bowl with the mixture. Grab hold of some of the mixture in your palm and start to close your hand. The dough will start to be squeezed out from between your thumb and index finger. Holding the teaspoon in your other hand, scoop up the dough that has emerged and drop it into the hot oil.
Dip the spoon into the glass of water next to you after each scoop.
Repeat process until there are enough dumplings in the oil but do not overcrowd the pan. Use a slotted spoon to turn them over so they can cook on the other side too. Fry untill they are golden brown.
Remove from the pan and place them on to the plate .
They are served hot with honey, cinnamon, chocolate praline and anything else you can think of!
